This Baked Oat Apple Crisp recipe is the best classic warm baked fruit dessert out there! This simple apple crisp recipe is perfect on a regular cool summer night or even to serve when you're hosting guests. The apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg make this the perfect Fall dessert!

Ingredients
  

Apple Mixture

  • 6-7 Apples chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Lemon Juice

Crisp Topping

  • 1 Cup Quick Cooking Rolled Oats
  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400˚F and grease your baking dish of choice with butter or oil.
  • In a large bowl, thoroughly wash your peaches and slice them into little 1-2 inch cubes.
  • Add in your cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice and brown sugar and mix. Set aside.
  • In another large bowl, add in your oats, flour, brown sugar, vanilla extract and melted butter. Mixture together until well combined and crumbly.
  • Scoop your apples in an even layer in your baking dish(es) then add your crumble topping until the top is fully covered.
  • Bake in the oven for about 35-45 minute or until the tops are golden brown and hard.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for about 15 minutes.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and/or whipped cream and enjoy!
