HERE IS HOW TO MAKE MAPLE CRANBERRY MEATBALLS:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients to make this fun holiday appetizer from any grocery store! You can make the meatballs from scratch if you’d like but if you want to take the easy route or don’t have too much time, you can buy these meatballs frozen like I did! You can use any of your favourite frozen meatballs!

Aside from this, you’ll want an orange to squeeze fresh orange juice from which you can find in the produce section, a can of cranberry sauce and some maple syrup which are both available in the pantry aisles of the store!

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make these delicious sweet and savoury meatballs are:

  • Frozen meatballs (use the meat of your preference!)
  • Cranberry sauce (not jellied cranberry if possible!)
  • Fresh Orange
  • Maple Syrup

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

Another thing that I adore about this recipe is that it is a 1 pot/pan recipe so not only is cooking this super fast but clean up is as well! The only things I used for this are a small sauce pot, a can opener to open the cranberry sauce, and a kitchen spoon to mix everything together!

Aside from this, if you are serving this up at a party, you can place them on a plate with some cute cocktail sticks or skewers so people can easily grab it!

Here are some of my kitchen and party favs from Amazon:

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

This recipe is super easy so it’s great as is however, here are some ideas to spice things up!

  • To make this vegetarian or vegan, you can substitute the meatballs for a vegetarian/vegan substitute
  • Add a small piece of cheese to each of the meatballs before skewering
  • Adding some walnuts or pecans
  • Placing the meatballs on top of a puff pasty square, biscuit, cracker or lettuce
  • Mixing in some cream cheese to the sauce

WHAT DO MAPLE CRANBERRY MEATBALLS TASTE LIKE?

Mmm, these cranberry meatballs are a perfect combination of sweet and tangy! The mixture of fresh orange juice, cranberry sauce and maple syrup gives off the bulk of the flavour and the meatballs give it that savoury piece that you’re missing making this an awesome well well-rounded appetizer for the holidays!

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

When stored in an airtight container, these meatballs are good for 3-5 days. Since these meatballs have the maple cranberry sauce, it reheats very well!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

Personally, I have been really loving meatballs as a protein lately! I usually just get the store-brand meatballs and I found that they have decent protein and fill me up! I thought that using frozen meatballs are very budget-friendly and are so versatile too!

Aside from maple cranberry meatballs, you can also do some BBQ or sweet and sour meatballs! You could do so many different sauces for this!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

No other notes for this one! Enjoy! 🙂
