Tis the season of yummy baked goods! As soon as August hits, my body, mind and soul are ready to bake my heart out! I took my classic banana bread and made it into these delicious pumpkin banana bread muffins!

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN BANANA BREAD MUFFINS:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients to make Pumpkin Banana Bread Muffins at most grocery stores or supermarkets. Here’s where you can typically find each ingredient:

  1. Pumpkin Puree: Look for canned pumpkin puree in the baking aisle, often near other canned fruits and pie fillings. Make sure it’s 100% pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make these delicious and wholesome pumpkin banana muffins are:

  • Ripe Brown Bananas
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Eggs
  • White Sugar
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • All Purpose Flour
  • Cinnamon Nutmeg
  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Brown Sugar (optional, sprinkled on top)
  • Yellow Banana (optional, 1 slice each on top)

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

If you’re already an avid baker, you most likely already have everything to make this recipe. If you’re a beginner baker, all you’ll need are some mixing bowls, a spatula, measuring cups and spoons, a muffin tin, muffin liners and a cookie scoop for even distribution!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

I am not a confident enough baker to recommend any ingredient substitutes however, if you do need to switch out ingredients, definitely try and Google it! I would also love to hear your feedback if you make these and swap out ingredients!

Aside from substitutes, you can have many additions to this recipe! Some great additions are:

  • Nuts like walnuts, pecans, almonds, pistachios
  • Seeds like pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, flaxseeds
  • Dried fruits like cranberries, raisins, blueberries
  • Fresh fruit like blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries
  • Chocolate like milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips
  • Toppings like cream cheese frosting or a crumble

WHAT DO PUMPKIN BANANA BREAD MUFFINS TASTE LIKE?

Pumpkin Banana Bread Muffins have a rich, moist texture with a perfect balance of sweetness and warmth. The natural sweetness of ripe bananas pairs beautifully with the earthy, slightly spiced flavor of pumpkin spice. The addition of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie spice enhances the autumnal flavors, giving the muffins a cozy, comforting taste. They are soft, fluffy, and slightly dense, with the flavors of banana and pumpkin blending harmoniously, making each bite a delightful combination of sweet and moist goodness.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Pumpkin Banana Bread Muffins can last for about 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container at room temperature. If refrigerated, they can last up to a week. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to 2-3 months.

I like to keep mine in the fridge then heat it up with a knob of butter!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

Fall is my most favourite season and it’s truly the time where I feel most alive and thrive! I want to feel all the cozy that I can feel and warm delicious banana bread does that for me! Truly nothing reminds me of a homey feeling more than a yummy banana bread fresh out of the oven.

I wanted to combine my fav Fall flavour like pumpkin spice and combine it in my banana bread recipe and it truly did not disappoint! The pumpkin puree made the muffin so soft and every bite feels like Fall. I will be making these every year for as long as I can!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

Yes! I sliced a regular yellow banana and placed one on top with a sprinkle of brown sugar and it was perfect however, this is optional! No topping is needed for these!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Ripe Brown Bananas mashed
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Cup Pumpkin Puree

Topping (Optional)

  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar 1 slice on top of each muffin
  • 1/2 Banana 1 slice on top of each muffin

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350F and add muffin liners to your muffin tin OR generously grease the muffin tin.
  • In a large bowl, add in your mashed bananas, eggs, vanilla extract, melted butter, and white sugar. Mix until well combined.
  • Next, add in your salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and pumpkin puree. Mix until well combined.
  • Slowly add in your flour 1/2 cup at a time and mix until everything is well incorporated.
  • Scoop your batter evenly between all 12 muffin tins. Optional, add a banana slice on top of each muffin and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  • Bake the muffins in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the muffins are fully cooked through.
  • Cool, serve and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
* 1/4 Cup Chickpeas (dehydrated then rehydrated for 24 hours or canned)
* 1-3 Tbsp Furikake Seasoning put as much as you’d like! I put extra on mine <3
* 1 Tbsp Avocado Oil or any oil you prefer!

INSTRUCTIONS
* In a bowl, add in your chickpeas and oil. Mix well together so that every chickpea is coated in oil.
* Add your chickpeas in a single layer in your air fryer. Air fry at 400F for about 10-15 minutes depending on your preferred level of crunch!
* Pour chickpeas into a bowl and add in your furikake seasoning to toss in.
