HERE IS HOW TO MAKE A ST. PATRICK’S DAY SNACK PLATE:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients for a St. Patrick’s Day Snack Plate at various locations:

  1. Grocery Stores: Visit your local grocery store for a variety of cheeses, fresh vegetables, crackers, and other snack items.
  2. Specialty Food Stores: Explore specialty stores for unique Irish cheeses, gourmet crackers, and themed snacks.
  3. Farmers’ Markets: For fresh and locally sourced fruits and vegetables, farmers’ markets are an excellent option.
  4. Online Retailers: Check online platforms for a broader selection and to order specific items that contribute to the Irish-themed snack plate.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients that I used for this St. Patrick’s Day Snack Plate are:

  • Broccoli
  • Sugar Peas
  • Kiwi
  • Cucumber
  • PIstachios
  • Peanuts
  • Green Grapes
  • Jack Cheese
  • White Chocolate
  • Gold Coin Chocolates

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

This snack plate is super easy to put together so if you’re making this for yourself or a small bunch, you can just use a nice big dinner plate and fill it up! If you’re bringing this to share for a large party or gathering then a nice food tray would be great for presentation! Aside from this, just a cutting board, knife, and a few boards to wash your produce and you’re all set!

Here are a few of my Amazon favs:

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

The best thing about this snack board is the creative freedom! The only thing I would recommend is keeping this snack plate as green as possible and have some gold coins for some luck! It is St. Patrick’s Day after all but you can add on whatever you’d like!

I didn’t include it in this board but you can add some green apple slices, green bell peppers, leafy greens, avocado, asparagus, brussel sprouts, etc.

Another fun thing that you could add is Lucky Charms cereal or just the marshmallows or even rainbow belt candies as your sweet of choice. That would be super fun!

Also, if you want to add something salty, pretzels, crackers, chips, and small toasts are all good options! I just like having nuts to munch on but it is truly up to you and your preference!

WHAT DOES ST. PATRICK’S DAY SNACK PLATE TASTE LIKE?

A St. Patrick’s Day Snack Plate offers a delightful mix of flavors:

  1. Cheeses: cheeses provide a rich and varied taste—some may be creamy, others sharp or aged.
  2. Vegetables: Crisp and fresh veggies bring a light and refreshing element to the plate.
  3. Accompaniments: Depending on your choices, condiments like chutneys or jams can add sweet and tangy notes.
  4. Sweet Treats: If your plate includes sweets, they may range from the sweetness of fruits to the richness of chocolates, providing a balanced ending.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

A St. Patrick’s Day Snack Plate is best enjoyed fresh. If stored properly in the refrigerator, it can maintain its quality for up to 24 hours. However, the crispness of vegetables and the texture of cheeses may change over time. For optimal taste and presentation, it’s recommended to consume the snack plate shortly after assembly.

This snack plate is super easy to put together so you don’t need to worry too much about time and labour!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

I truly love any excuse to celebrate a holiday! As I’m not Irish, St. Patrick’s day is never something I really celebrate but honestly, it looks so fun and full of life! Why not join the festivities in small ways!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

No other notes for this one! This snack plate is really great if you have school-aged children! Something to look forward to and make eating fun! Don’t forget to wear green!
