The days are brighter and longer and I’m thriving! A few weeks ago, I was completely confused and thought Mother’s Day moved this year. I later found out that some countries in the world have a different date of Mother’s Day! I honestly almost panicked because I thought I had forgotten all about it.

For this post, I was thinking of doing a standard gift guide with a bunch of affiliate links to some things that I’m thinking about getting my mom this year but I think as a DIY blogger, I would be a 20+ DIY Mother’s Day Gift Guide round-up post on some gifts to hand-make!

HERE are 20+ DIY Mother’s Day Gift Guide:

DIY Potted Herb Gift

I’ve actually been wanting to get into planting some herbs in the garden and I think these ones are super cute for those who don’t have a lot of space too! Herbs in the grocery store can definitely add up and also be wasteful if you don’t need that much but have no choice but to get the whole bunch.

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

Macrame

Macramé wall hangings were one of the first things I purchased when I moved into our current place. The only thing I regret is not buying it locally or making it myself! I took the easy route and bought it from Amazon BUT they do look incredible so I’m happy to keep them.

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

Lavender Sugar Scrub

Perfect for your skin care-obsessed momma!

Here are some materials you need to get started:

Mother’s Day Photo Planter

This one’s so cute for a Farmhouse décor obsessed gal!

Emergency Candy Stash

I mean look at these chocolates!! Could you go wrong with this one?

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

Spring Wreaths

This one is from my friend, Aimsy’s blog! Wreaths are one of my fav home décors and I love this spring one she shared recently! Super easy and the products are relatively affordable considering you can keep this forever if you use faux flowers!

Chunky Knit Blanket

My sister-in-law has made a ton of them and I’ve really wanted to try but it does add up since you need so many bundles of yarn. I might do this for the coming Christmas season!

Plant Puns on Painted Potted Flower Pots

This one is super cute! Especially if your mom loves puns!

DIY Tote Bag

I’ve recently been more conscious about my plastic consumption so I’ve been bringing tote bags everywhere! Mine are eucalyptus themed and I adore them. I’ll have to make my own soon too.

Scrabble tile DIY coasters

I am very much debating this one to be my Mother’s Day gift! My mom plays scrabble by herself to practice her vocab daily and she would love this!

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

DIY Citronella Lemon Bowl Insect Repellent Candles

Perfect for summer night patio lounging. Mosquitos are obsessed with me so this is super useful!

Natural Lip Balm

This lip balm is super easy to make and only has 3 ingredients! Got to love knowing exactly what is in the products I put on my body or consume!

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

Continue reading 20+ DIY Mother’s Day Gift Guide.

Headache Bath Bomb

When I first saw this, all I could think about was Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream! These would be amazing after a long hard day.

DIY Tea Towels

Linen tea towels are looking super expensive nowadays! I’m going to make some myself soon too as I use it for food styling!

 Simple Aprons

My mom and I both don’t use aprons when we cook but obviously, some of our clothes are stained because of it. Love how simple these are and you could make it with any spare fabrics you have.

Sangria Kit

Now, this is my kind of gift! Loving this idea and will be making these in the future for friends too!

DIY Vapor Rub Shower Melts

Do you have a mom who’s obsessed with Vicks like my mom is? She thinks this fixes life LOL! Love this for flu season. I do wonder if it’ll burn my eyes in the shower. I’d try it and report back.

Continue reading all the details on 20+ DIY Mother’s Day Gift Guide.

Monstera Drop Dish

The swiss cheese plant has taken over Instagram! Love this easy and gorgeous soap dish. The sage green you could paint it makes it worthwhile too!

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

Continue reading 20+ DIY Mother’s Day Gift Guide.

Pressed Framed Flower Art

You know that I love dried florals! This is so gorgeous to add to your walls. I’ve also written a blog post on 7 Beautiful Ways To Decorate Your Home With Dried Florals/Stems if you haven’t checked it out yet!

DIY Magnets

These are so cute! They are like mini polaroid magnets! Perfect to save space on the fridge too!

Here’s some materials you need to get started:

Coffee Scrub Soap

Use your coffee grinds and make this coffee scrub soap!

Reusable Beeswax Wraps

I can’t wait to make this after my plastic wrap is finished. My mother-in-law bought me a massive roll and I’ve been waiting to use it all up before making the switch!

Wine Cork DIY Kitchen Utensil Holder

Super cute and affordable! Especially if you have a wine-loving mama.

Amazing DIY Blush and Rose Gold Resin Tray

Resin art is so gorgeous! I have yet to purchase/make any resin art pieces but will shortly!

DIY Candle Sculptures

This is actually in my content calendar to recreate! Can’t wait to try it out. Hopefully, it goes well because I’ve seen lots of fails haha.

Knit Baskets

Last but not least, these knit baskets are super cute to add to any shelf, coffee table or floor! I really love the way these look and you can pick a yarn that your mom would adore!

I hope you enjoyed this 20+ DIY Mother’s Day Gift Guide! I want to make everything on this for myself haha! I love DIY crafts and can’t wait to start some new ones this year and add them to my home décor!

Oh these are all such good ideas. I lost my mom this past October so this Mothers Day will be a bit weird. I use to get her a GC to a salon and then my sister and I would take her out for brunch though not in 2020. Lovely ideas here.

These are all great ideas! I loved making DIY gifts while I was back home, not much now as i don’t have the same space. Macramé wall hanging and chunk knit blankets for the win! I really wanted to get started on a blanket, but as you said, when you add all the yarn it gets a bit pricey. But I mean, the pressed flower and resin tray, yes please! Thanks for sharing x

You’ve included some great options here! I love the emergency candy stash haha… Especially with our province moving into a stay at home order again this week for another month. I feel like a lot of mothers could use that emergency candy stash as they are trying to navigate working at home and everything else all over again. I have a good friend that makes me homemade bath bombs and other bath supplies each year for Christmas and I always love receiving them.
