HERE IS HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER CEREAL BARS:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients for these peanut butter bars can be found in most groceries stores! I believe Reese’s Puffs are more popular in North America but you can use any peanut butter cereal you have access to. You’ll also need some dark chocolate that melts great and some of your favorite peanut butter! Either smooth or crunchy works awesome, it is up to your preference!

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

You can easily make these peanut butter cereal bars with the following ingredients:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Reese’s Puffs cereal
  • Dark Chocolate

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

The equipment needed to make these peanut butter cereal bars is basically just a bunch of bowls and a dish that you can store in the freezer or fridge so that the cereal bars can harden. I like to melt my peanut butter and chocolate in the microwave in a glass bowl and then place them in a rectangular dish. You’ll also want to try and use parchment paper for ease to cut into the bars once they harden!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

You can substitute or add anything you’d like for this one! I love making super simple recipes and leaving the imagination of my reader-run wild! You can add in some peanuts or more chocolate like chocolate chips! You can drizzle some caramel or chocolate on the top of the bars.

Use whatever chocolate you prefer! If you have a sweet tooth like me but not necessarily a super sweet sweet tooth haha then use dark chocolate! I like my desserts not being too overly sweet.

As for cereal, I love it with peanut butter cereal however, any cereal works as long as you love it!

WHAT DOES PEANUT BUTTER CEREAL BARS TASTE LIKE?

My favorite thing about these peanut butter cereal bars is the fact that they are super peanut buttery but not overly sweet. Dark chocolate combines every other ingredient so well! I love how dark chocolate and peanut butter complement each other. My favorite time to enjoy these is after dinner when I’m looking for a sweet treat! I keep them in my freezer and just take one when I want.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

These cereal bars keep in the fridge for up to 7 days but in the freezer will keep well in an airtight container for up to a month and a half. I usually finish everything before a month is over but they do well in the freezer for a really long time which is amazing!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

No specific inspirations for this recipe, my husband loves Reese’s Puffs and bought a giant box and I thought in my head, those would be really good as a homemade cereal bar so I got to recipe testing and came up with these perfect treats!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

One note! If you like a little bit of flaky salt to bring out the chocolate, you can sprinkle a little! I do once in a while.
