HERE IS HOW TO MAKE SWEET AND SALTY VALENTINE’S DAY CHOCOLATE BARK:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find ingredients for this recipe at your local grocery store! You essentially need everything from the snack aisle. You need salty pretzels for the bottom of the bark, white chocolate for the top and also some Valentine’s day themed toppings like m&m’s, smarties, heart sprinkles etc! Basically, any toppings that you want to include that are pink, red and/or purple.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

There are only 3 ingredients for this recipe:

  • White Chocolate – preferably a brand that melts well!
  • Pretzels – either sticks or the regular pretzel shape will do
  • Valentine’s Sprinkles/Candies/Chocolates – anything red, pink, and/or purple

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

This recipe is super easy to make! All you’ll really need to make this is a tray and parchment paper so that you can easily let it cool that break apart. Other than that, if you’re bringing it to a party or gathering, you can place it on a pretty tray to serve! The dollar store usually has some festive plates and trays or you can take a look at Amazon like the ones I linked below:

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

You sure can! Essentially what you need to make this treat is 1) a salty, crunchy, hard snack like ritz or saltine crackers, 2) any chocolate that melts and hardens well like milk, dark, or white 3) anything that remotely reminds you of Valentine’s day! It does not have to necessarily be only found on Valentine’s day.

I bought the Valentine’s smarties for mine but I just used from pastel pink sprinkles that I already had! If you loves nuts as well, you can also add some peanuts, pistachios, almonds etc!

WHAT DOES SWEET AND SALTY VALENTINE’S DAY CHOCOLATE BARK TASTE LIKE?

If you love sweet and salty snacks, this one is for you! I always love sweet and salty snacks so I knew I wanted to make something Valentine’s day themed. Alongside this snack, I also love making muddy buddies which is another sweet and salty snack that’s super yummy! You get a sweet chocolate taste from the chocolate and a good salty crunch from the pretzels then to top it all together, you have little crunchy sprinkles!

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Another thing I love about this recipe is how long it’s good for! Such a great recipe to show in the fridge or freezer to enjoy whenever you’re craving a sweet and/or salty treat. I love making chocolate bark and then keeping them in the freezer to enjoy at a later time. I would definitely recommend eating as soon as it hardens of course but it’s good to keep in the fridge/freezer for up to a month!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

No specific inspirations for this recipe but we love easy and festive on this blog! There are so many intricate recipes on the internet so I love recipes that save you time but also look like you made the effort and took the time to do!
