Offices and schools are shutting down for the break and this is the perfect time to go on nice dates! December can be quite stressful for a lot of people and it’s important to unwind and just enjoy your surroundings.

Whether it’s seeing your friends, family, significant other or an acquaintance, I truly believe in focusing all your time and energy on when you’re with them.

My husband and I are constantly dating each other and making sure that we’re always getting to know each other as people change every day! He has the holidays off so we’ll be able to spend lots of time together.

HERE ARE 16 Winter Date Night Ideas:

Paint Night

Think of a theme and paint it out! Have a glass of wine or a cozy drink of choice. Want to make it a competition? Post it on Instagram and have people vote who’s painting is better 🙂

Sledding/Tubing

If you’ve got mountains nearby and they are open, why not go sledding? Such a fun nostalgic winter date!

Movie Marathon

I have yet to watch all the Harry Potter movies (I know so BAD) and I plan on doing that next week! Either rewatch some of your favourite classics or find new ones!

Drive around the neighbourhood seeing Christmas lights

We’ve done this a few times and I love it. We live within the City but a little out near the suburbs and there’s a good mix of commercial holiday lights and houses with holiday lights!

Christmas Market

So sad that we couldn’t do this this year. I usually go with my nieces and nephews but ours is closed. If you’ve got one near you open, go for me! It’s always a cold but magical experience.

Gingerbread House Competition

I’ve debated whether to do this this year or not. I find that ours always goes to waste It’s way too sweet to eat but they are so fun to make!

Volunteer within your community

In high school, I would always volunteer during the holidays. Haven’t looked into it this year but it’s always nice to do extra for the community.

Making Christmas Cocktails

Candy Martini? Say no more!

Build a snowman/have a snowball fight

Only works if you obviously have snow! We don’t yet but we tend to get snow during Feb/March.

Photoshoot

Have a cute winter themed photoshoot and do some cool editing on it! I always love taking photos 🙂

Continue reading 16 Winter Date Night Ideas….

Coffeehouse Date

It’s a little bit harder to find coffeehouses that’ll allow people to sit in but you can always pick up an order and enjoy it at home! I always like picking up our order and doing some puzzles or reading at home.

Decorate Sugar Cookies

You can either purchase store bought ones or bake them yourself! My favourite recipe is Vanilla Almond Cut Cookies.

Visit a Tree Farm

Perfect for the beginning of December if you wanted a nice real tree for Christmas!

Karaoke

We actually just did this! My karaoke machine has rap songs so we were laughing the whole night 🙂

Continue reading 16 Winter Date Night Ideas…

Spontaneous drive

Skip the planning and just go! Be prepared for the weather and let your date take it’s natural path. In the path when we don’t plan date nights, we’ve made it to the bowling alley, beach, movie theatre, museum, farmers market! Unexpected dates tend to be the best!

Dinner at a new local restaurant

So unfortunate that a lot of businesses unfortunately had to close due the pandemic and lack of business. I try to support local as much as I can and honestly it always becomes a favourite of mine!

I hope you get the chance to go on some dates! With family, friends, significant other, it doesn’t matter! Time is so precious.

What’s your favourite winter date ideas? I would love to know in the comments below!

Xo,

Lynn
