Halloween is such a fun day to celebrate! It’s a day where you can get silly and let your inner child out.

I loved Halloween as a kid and as I grew older, I spent Halloween’s with my nieces and nephews and now that they’re older and I don’t have kids yet, I spend them with my husband watching movies and having pizza night!

Whether it’s a kid’s party or an adult party, I’ve got a recipe that’s easy and fun for both! The last time I brought these to my work potluck, they were gone without minutes! They are super easy to make and a great last minute treat idea.

I’ve actually done this a ton of times where I’ll get invited to a holiday party and will be working in the daytime so I’ll have no time to prepare for it. I’ve done cute reindeer ones and just recently made spider cookies! Salty and sweet make it the perfect treat and making these literally cost me like $5!

Here is how to make Easy Halloween Spider Cookies:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

Any grocery store as these are pretty simple ingredients! I got the googly eyes at Michaels. If you go into the fridge section of the grocery store, you’ll most likely find the Pillsbury cookie dough or a store brand version that’s already made! You can also make it from scratch if you have a favourite cookie dough that you like.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

  • Pillsbury Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
  • Bag of Pretzel Sticks
  • Pack of Google Eyes

WHAT IS THE TIME BREAKDOWN TO MAKE THIS RECIPE?

These Easy Halloween Spider Cookies are super quick and simple to make. The time breakdown for this recipe is:

To Prepare – roll out the dough into even-sized balls

Time: 5 Minutes

To Bake – this includes lining a cookie sheet with parchment and baking the cookies

Time: 8 Minutes

To Cool – this includes the time to cool before storing into a container

Time: 20 Minutes

CAN I SUB ANYTHING OUT?

You can definitely swap out the cookie mixture and use sugar cookies or whatever else you prefer! Googly eyes can be subbed for M&M’s if you’d like as well. The pretzels I would keep as it makes the perfect balance to this sweet and salty treat!

WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

Since the ingredients in these easy Halloween spider cookies are pretty plain, it’s just as a chocolate chip cookie and pretzels would taste but together! The premade mix is definitely super sweet so if you make your own mixture, you can lessen the sugar or alter the ingredients. I’ve got the best Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, here!

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

It lasts as long as any other cookies about 5-7 days if they last that long!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

I would also recommend a circle cookie cutter so they look a little cleaner! I just rolled them out with my hands so they weren’t very symmetrical.
