Did anyone else go from October 31st = Spooky Season to November 1st = Christmas Season? Because I sure did! I think being Canadian, its automatically like that for me because we have our Thanksgiving in October whereas if you’re American, you’d still have Thanksgiving in November and if you’re hosting guests, you still probably want to follow the Christmas theme!
Generally, as a rule of thumb for me, I wait until November 12 to fully decorate and start turning on the Christmas tree every day but I do start to take everything out and start arranging how I want my Christmas decor to look right after Halloween.
My Christmas decor is more or less the same but I buy and sell things every year just to keep it fresh! This year, I have been picking up some ornaments and also swapped out some of my wall art.
Do you keep the same Christmas decor every year or do you swap things out or swap styles out every year? I’d love to know in the comments!

Out of everyone in my family, I’m probably the only one who really decorates the house. Both sides of my family and my inlaws are very chill people and just do a little bit of decorate or holiday spirit things whereas I’m a hardcore Pinterest mom without a child and a very extra person in general!
My family usually does Christmas lights and a Christmas tree and that’s pretty much it but I like to deck almost my entire house in Christmas decor and make it super homey and cozy!
When my husband and I moved into our townhouse, I decided that the style of decor that I wanted my home to be was sort of a boho yet modern and minimal style. I get overwhelmed with all of the bright colours and things so it brings me peace when everything is neutral coloured and minimal with lots of natural elements too.
I love having bright space especially since I live in a very rainy city and my wood floors are black so I have lots of white and beige decor pieces!

Such a great post! I love those pillows and the bathroom towels! I know a ton of people here in the U.S. that are already listening to Christmas music and decorating their homes- it just depends on the person. Personally, I like going all out with the decorations. And with Thanksgiving in between Halloween and Christmas, I like putting winter items out prior to Thanksgiving, and then the Christmas specific things the day after. It also depends on the weather, since there are a lot of years when it is still pretty warm in November. Thanks for giving me more to add to my shopping list!
