HERE IS HOW TO MAKE MISO BUTTER CHICKEN:

To make Miso Butter Chicken, you can find the ingredients at a variety of places:

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make this delicious chicken recipe are:

  • Chicken Thighs
  • Salted Butter
  • Miso Paste
  • Garlic
  • Mirin
  • Pepper
  • Honey

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

I make my miso butter chicken in my air fryer however, you can also cook these chicken thighs in the oven or even on the stove top! Aside from the air fryer, you’ll need either a cutting board and knife to mince up the garlic or you can just use a garlic press like I do! Then of course some bowls to marinate the chicken in and mix the sauce up.

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

This recipe is super simple so there isn’t a lot of ingredients to substitute however, I always encourage taking my recipes as a base and tailoring it to your taste buds! Some great changes that you can make to this recipe are:

  • Use any miso paste, does not need to be white
  • Add onion powder
  • Add sesame oil and seeds
  • Add soy sauce

Aside from the suggestions above, have fun with the recipe and add/substitute what you’d like! I’d also love to hear what changes you’d made 🙂

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Miso Butter Chicken can last for up to 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For longer storage, it can be frozen for up to 2-3 months. This meal is perfect for when you want to do meal prep! Prepare containers with some chicken, rice and green beans and you’ve got a filling and balanced meal to enjoy for a few days in the week!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

Lately, I’ve been finding myself just craving and wanting Asian flavours. I am incorporating lots of coconut milk, soy sauce, miso, sesame oil and chilli oil in pretty up 95% of my cooking. I’ve been loving all the meals that I have been cooking lately and just doing lots of experimenting with miso paste!

I knew that I had to share this miso butter chicken because my philosophy is that butter makes everything better and pairing it with miso just takes it to the next level!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

If you have the time to marinate it for a longer than 20 minutes, highly recommend it! Of course, the longer any meat is marinated, the longer it has to soak up all the flavours.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Chicken Thighs
  • 1/4 Cup Salted Butter melted
  • 2-3 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp White Miso Paste
  • 1/2 Tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp Honey

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, add in your melted butter, minced garlic, white miso paste, mirin, black pepper and honey. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  • Pour mixture over chicken thighs and mix well together to ensure all pieces of chicken are coated in the miso butter marinade. Let marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  • Set your Air Fryer to 400F and place chicken and all sauce mixture in the air fryer and let cook for 30 minutes, flipping half way through. Ensure that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165F.
  • Serve on a bed of hot white rice and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
* 100 g Lean Ground Beef cooked however you’d like
* 120 g Black Beans cooked however you’d like 
* 150 g Raw Coleslaw Mix 
* 1-2 tbsp Buffalo Sauce

INSTRUCTIONS
* In a small bowl, heat up your ground beef and black beans for 45 seconds in the microwave.
* In a large bowl, add in your raw coleslaw mix then top your ground beef and black beans on top.
* Drizzle the bowl with your buffalo sauce, eat and enjoy!‹

INGREDIENTS
* 1/4 Cup Chickpeas (dehydrated then rehydrated for 24 hours or canned)
* 1-3 Tbsp Furikake Seasoning put as much as you’d like! I put extra on mine <3
* 1 Tbsp Avocado Oil or any oil you prefer!

INSTRUCTIONS
* In a bowl, add in your chickpeas and oil. Mix well together so that every chickpea is coated in oil.
* Add your chickpeas in a single layer in your air fryer. Air fry at 400F for about 10-15 minutes depending on your preferred level of crunch!
* Pour chickpeas into a bowl and add in your furikake seasoning to toss in.
