HERE IS HOW TO MAKE A COTTAGE CHEESE APPLE PIE BOWL:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
You can find the ingredients to make this yummy cottage cheese dessert anywhere! It is so simple that you most likely already have the ingredients, but if not, every grocery store should have this in stock. You can get cottage cheese and salted butter from the dairy section of your grocery store, the apples from the produce section and the cinnamon, maple syrup and brown sugar from the pantry or non-perishables aisle.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make these yummy cottage cheese apple pie bowls are:
- Your Favorite Apple (preferably a crunchy one!)
- Cottage Cheese
- Salted Butter
- Cinnamon
- Brown Sugar
- Maple Syrup
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
All you’ll need to make this recipe is some basic cooking utensils and equipment! You’ll need a cutting board and knife to cut the apple into bite sized pieces. You’ll want a small frying pan to warm up the apples and maple brown sugar mixture. If you want to be very specific with the measurements, you’ll want to use some measuring cups and spoons or even a scale!
Aside from that, you’ll want to, of course, eat this in a bowl with a spoon!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
This recipe is so simple that there are so many things you can do to make this tailored to what you love! I personally find recipes that are so easy to be the most appealing to me but I like to spruce up my recipes as well!
Here are some ideas!
- Add some granola for a crunch
- Add some nuts or seeds to bulk it up even more
- Mix cottage cheese with high-protein yogurt to make it even more filling, or even enjoy it as a meal
- Drizzle some caramel sauce on top for extra sweetness
- Top with your favourite crunchy cereal
WHAT DOES A COTTAGE CHEESE APPLE PIE BOWL TASTE LIKE?
This Cottage Cheese Apple Pie Bowl tastes like a cozy slice of warm apple pie but high protein and has a savory component! The creamy cottage cheese pairs perfectly with sweet cinnamon apples sautéed in brown sugar, maple syrup, and a hint of salted butter, giving it that nostalgic, buttery-spiced flavor with a satisfying crunch from the apple.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
If you have the capacity, please enjoy this fresh! I promise you will not regret it; however, if you want to meal prep it, you can keep it in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Do keep in mind the expiry date of your cottage cheese, though!
