HERE IS HOW TO MAKE GINGERBREAD CREAM CHEESE:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make this are super easy to find! You can either make your own Gingerbread Spice Mix or you can purchase one that is already pre-made! Aside from this, you’ll need your favourite cream cheese, vanilla extract and brown sugar! You should have all these ingredients readily available at most grocery stores! The gingerbread spice mix may only be available during the Christmas season but it is super easy to make from scratch if you get that Christmas in July craving!

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make this delicious gingerbread cream cheese spread are:

  • Cream Cheese
  • Gingerbread Spice Mix
  • Brown Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

All you’ll need for this recipe is a bowl, a spoon and measuring spoons! If you let your cream cheese soften for a few hours, it will be extremely soft to mix around! That is really the key here! I like to mix everything in an airtight container already so it’s less dishes for me and I can immediately store it in the fridge after mixing!

Here are some of my favourite Amazon items!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

Of course you can! I always recommend switching up recipes to better suit what you have and what you like. Here are a few suggestions to change up this recipe!

  • Add in some other flavours like caramel, almond or butterscotch extract
  • Add in some chocolate shavings
  • Add in some cocoa powder to make it gingerbread CHOCOLATE cream cheese
  • Use your favourite sweetener of choice instead of brown sugar, like white sugar or monkfruit sweetener

WHAT DOES GINGERBREAD CREAM CHEESE TASTE LIKE?

Gingerbread cream cheese tastes like a cozy Christmas dessert wrapped in creamy goodness! It’s tangy and smooth from the cream cheese, but sweet and warmly spiced from the gingerbread flavours! Think cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. Together, it tastes like a gingerbread cookie blended into a silky spread. It’s sweet, a little zippy, perfectly spiced, and totally festive like holiday cheer on some warm bread! YUM!

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Gingerbread cream cheese keeps about the same as most flavoured cream cheeses! In the fridge, in an airtight container, it will be good for 5-7 days! Check the expiry date of your cream cheese of course, and for best quality, always stir it before using and check for any sour smell or separation. Not quite sure about freezing it as I’ve not froze cream cheese but I imagine that the texture may be off.

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

I am obsessed with all things gingerbread at the moment! I hear that you grow up and start to develop your favourite Christmas ico,n and mine is truly gingerbread! I love all gingerbread decor and I love gingerbread flavours! I love that gingerbread spice feels so warm! The spices are strong and robust and that first bite of anything gingerbread really gets me!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

No other notes for this one! I love gingerbread spice mix so much that I always look forward to eating this first thing in the morning! <3
