HERE IS HOW TO MAKE MAPLE BACON MUFFINS:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
I use a very simple muffin recipe then basically just added some brown sugar, maple syrup and bacon! If you already bake, you should already have most of the ingredients at home but you can definitely pick up the ingredients to make this at most grocery stores.
You can find the flour, white sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup, baking powder, salt, and vanilla extract from the pantry or the baking section. The milk, butter and egg from the dairy section and the bacon from the meat or deli section.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make this delicious Fall baked good recipe are:
- All Purpose Flour
- White Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Maple Syrup
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Milk
- Unsalted Butter
- Egg
- Vanilla Extract
- Crispy Bacon
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Hopefully you have most of the equipment at home but all you’ll really just need a large mixing bowl, a spatula and a muffin baking tray. You can grease the baking tray up really good or you can use muffin liners! I like using muffin liners for ease.
Here are some of my baking favs from Amazon:
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
You sure can! I’m not a strong enough baker to really recommend what exactly to substitute out, however, I always encourage everyone to alter the recipe to their liking! Here are some ideas you can do to spruce the recipe up:
- Add in some chopped nuts
- Add some cream cheese frosting or icing on top
- Add a brown sugar crumb topping
- Add some chocolate chips
- Add some cinnamon or nutmeg
WHAT DO MAPLE BACON MUFFINS TASTE LIKE?
These muffins are really nice and fluffy! Every bite has a bit of sweet maple brown sugar and smokey crispy bacon. Truly the best sweet and savory baked treat!
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
I definitely recommend storing these muffins in an airtight container for up to 7 days in the fridge and storing any uneaten muffins in the freezer for up to 1 month. I really enjoy warm muffins, so I like to warm them up before eating, and they become even better!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
If you read my intro paragraph, you know that I love maple bacon donuts! It occurred to me to try to make maple bacon muffins while we transition to Fall! Baking is a fall activity, so I was super excited to recipe test this, and I’m obsessed!
