For me, nothing beats freshly made bread toasted with some butter! I love my bread and please don’t revoke my Asian status haha but I can live without rice but cannot live without bread. I had some extra butter leftover from Thanksgiving and thought how fun would it be to make some compound butters!

Compound butters are basically flavoured butters, and you can get so creative with it and it is truly so easy to make and takes your butter to the next level!

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE CRANBERRY APPLE CINNAMON BUTTER:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

Hopefully, you easily have access to these ingredients or even already have it at home but if not, you should be able to purchase some things online or hunt around different grocery stores! You’ll of course need some unsalted butter which should be common all around the world, some salt which you may already have at home and lastly, some cranberry sauce! I make mine fresh which you can find the recipe here: Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Sauce.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make this delicious cranberry-flavoured butter are:

  • Cranberry Sauce! I used my cranberry apple cinnamon sauce here, but feel free to use any recipe you’d like!
  • Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • Flaky Salt

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

You don’t need any special equipment to make this recipe! Just a bowl and a spoon. You can also just taste or eyeball the measurements to your liking but if you want to make it exactly to the measurements of this recipe, you’ll want some measuring spoons!

Here are some of my Amazon kitchen favs!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

You sure can! Honestly this recipe is super easy but if you wanted to customize it more, you can! Here are some ideas that you can do:

  • Add more Fall/Winter spices like cloves, nutmeg, cardamom etc
  • Add more sweetener like maple syrup, honey or brown sugar

WHAT DOES CRANBERRY APPLE CINNAMON BUTTER TASTE LIKE?

Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Compound Butter tastes like a little bite of holiday magic! It’s rich and creamy from the butter, with swirls of tart cranberry and sweet apple that add fruity brightness. The cinnamon gives it a warm, cozy spice—like a mix between apple pie filling and cranberry sauce melted into silky butter. Spread on warm toast, pancakes, or rolls, it tastes sweet, buttery, and just the right amount of festive.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

IF this even lasts haha, flavoured butter can typically be kept in the fridge for about 1-2 weeks when stored in an airtight container or tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or parchment paper. You can also freeze this for about 3-6 months! Just make sure it’s well wrapped and sealed in a freezer-safe bag to avoid any freezer burn taste. To use from the freezer, just slice off what you need or let it soften in the fridge overnight.

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

I had leftover butter and just wanted to have fun with it! I LOVE butter and knew that compound butters would be so fun to make and experiment with and I was not disappointed! ❤️

ANY OTHER NOTES?

Make sure your butter is completely softened! It’s way easier to mix together when it’s completely softened 🥰
