HERE IS HOW TO MAKE MAPLE BACON WRAPPED ASPARAGUS:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients to make Maple Bacon Wrapped Asparagus at your local grocery store. Look for fresh asparagus spears, quality bacon, and pure maple syrup in the respective sections. If you prefer, you can also purchase these ingredients online for added convenience.

The seasonings used for this recipe are just garlic powder, brown sugar, and ground black pepper! I do not add any salt onto this as bacon is already salty enough.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make this maple bacon wrapped asparagus recipe are:

  • Maple Bacon
  • Asparagus
  • Garlic Powder
  • Pepper
  • Brown Sugar

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

This recipe is SO easy all you’ll really need is a baking dish or tray. I prepared and did everything within the baking dish so not only is this recipe delicious, but it is also a no-mess recipe too! Aside from the baking dish, I did use scissors to cut the bacon strips in half but you can also just use a cutting board and knife to do this.

Here are some of my Amazon favs:

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

I always encourage creativity when it comes to these recipes however, this recipe is super simple so there isn’t much I would personally recommend to substitute or switch out.

I understand that asparagus can get pricey so if asparagus is not an option, you could always use green beans instead. As for the bacon, there isn’t a lot of swaps aside from the type of bacon you get! You can try doing maple turkey bacon or perhaps even thin slices of beef like the ones of hot pot and brush a little bit of maple syrup on them!

WHAT DOES MAPLE BACON WRAPPED ASPARAGUS TASTE LIKE?

Maple Bacon Wrapped Asparagus offers a delightful combination of flavors. The crisp bacon adds a savory, smoky richness that complements the tender-crisp asparagus spears perfectly. The maple syrup glaze adds a touch of sweetness, enhancing the overall flavor profile with a hint of caramelized richness. Together, these ingredients create a mouthwatering dish that strikes a balance between savory and sweet, making it a delectable appetizer or side dish option.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Maple Bacon Wrapped Asparagus is best enjoyed fresh and hot out of the oven for optimal flavor and texture. However, if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat them in the oven or microwave until warmed through before serving again.

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

I’ve always love asparagus and always saw people doing bacon wrapped asparagus but was hesitant to try it until recently boy did it rock my world! My husband and I scarfed it down so quick! I can’t wait to make this again especially when I’m hosting Thanksgiving dinner or any special occassion!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

No other notes for this one! A super quick and easy side or appetizer to make!

Ingredients

  • 12 Asparagus stalks
  • 6 Strips Maple Bacon cut in half, the long way
  • 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder sprinkles on top
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar sprinkled on top
  • 1/2 Tbsp Pepper sprinkled on top

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and get a large baking tray or dish.
  • Slice your bacon strips in half the long way so essentially you will end up with 2 thin strips of bacon.
  • Wrap each piece of asparagus with a thin bacon strip and place it onto the baking dish. Be sure to lay each bacon wrapped asparagus flat and not on top of each other.
  • Once all your asparagus is laid flat on the baking tray, sprinkle you garlic powder, brown sugar and pepper evenly across all pieces.
  • Place tray in the oven for 35-45 minutes or until the bacon is to your desired doneness level. I love mine as crispy as it can get!
  • Let cool, serve and enjoy!

My partner loves bacon-wrapped asparagus, but I always used regular bacon to make them. The maple bacon does seem like a good combination with the asparagus!
