Smoky Air Fryer Pork Bites are a delightful twist on traditional pork bites, offering a blend of smoky flavors and juicy tenderness. Using the air fryer ensures a crispy exterior while preserving the succulence of the meat inside. This dish is perfect for those seeking a quick and easy appetizer or snack that packs a punch in terms of taste and texture.

The secret to these mouthwatering pork bites lies in the seasoning. The smoky paprika adds depth and complexity to the dish, while a touch of sweetness from brown sugar balances out the flavours.

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE SMOKY AIR FRYER PORK BITES:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients to make Smoky Air Fryer Pork Bites at your local grocery store, typically in the meat and seasoning aisles. Alternatively, you can also purchase them online from various retailers.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make these delicious smoky air fryer pork bites are:

  • Pork – cut into small bite-sized pieces
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Brown Sugar
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Butter – optional

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

You don’t need a lot of equipment for this recipe! All you’ll really need is an air fryer to the cook the pork, cutting board and knife to cut the pork into smaller bite-sized pieces, a mixing bowl and some tongs! I personally use gloves to mix my meat together but a spoon, spatula or tongs work fine!

Other than that, truly just use what you already have at home!

Here are some of my fav Amazon kitchen finds!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

You sure can add or substitute anything you’d like to this recipe! I recommend keeping the smoked paprika as this is truly the star of the dish here but everything is easily interchangeable.

If you don’t want to use pork, chicken thighs would go excellent with this or even fish, tofu or steak! The smoked paprika gives any protein you’d like a delicious smoky flavour!

I didn’t add a lot of other seasonings and spices because I wanted to keep this super simple but you are welcome to use what you’d like. I use brown sugar for sweetness but you can also use some honey, maple syrup or just regular white sugar for this!

For this recipe, I just use a mix of pork shoulder and tenderloin but you’re welcome to use any cut you’d like as long as it’s in bite-sized pieces!

WHAT DO SMOKY AIR FRYER PORK BITES TASTE LIKE?

Smoky Air Fryer Pork Bites have a rich, savory flavor with a hint of smokiness from the seasoning. The pork is juicy and tender, complemented by the crispy exterior from the air frying process. The smoked paprika I also find gives off a little bit of heat which I love! The brown sugar for this gives some sweetness which makes it overall a perfect balance and blend of flavours.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Smoky Air Fryer Pork Bites can last for up to 3-4 days when stored properly in an airtight container in the refrigerator. These are perfect for meal prep as well as they heat up nicely in a microwave. You can do containers or rice and veggies with these smoky air fryer pork bites and you’ve got a great and filling well balanced meal!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

So, my husband and I eat lots of protein in our diets which in turn has us consuming a good amount of meat. Meat is super expensive lately and I’m always finding ways to make my grocery hauls a lot cheaper.

I find that pork is a much cheaper option and I know that not everyone eats pork but pork is a meat that Filipino dishes normally use so my family loves pork dishes! I for one don’t generally love pork but it’s a great source or protein and very versatile to work with!

I’m constantly thinking of new flavour combinations to try out so I am more encouraged to cook with pork aside from traditional Filipino recipes!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

Right when it done cooking, what I like to do is transfer the meat in a bowl with a knob of salted butter and toss it together. The salty butter with the smoky flavour of the pork goes so well together however, it is optional! If you’re watching what you eat, butter is not the best option so this can definitely be skipped.

Smoky Air Fryer Pork Bites

These deliciously seasoned smoky air fryer pork bites are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, cooked to perfection in the air fryer.
