Foil Nachos

Nachos are 100% a staple for me during happy hour! So easy and super filling! A great idea would be to do a nachos bar where everyone can make individual foil nacho packs and add their own toppings!

Baked Meatball Sandwiches

If you’re looking to do some cooking before you leave your home for camping, you’ll love these meatball sandwiches! Make a pot of some delicious meatballs with lots of marinara sauce then bring it camping with a pack of your fav long buns and cheese! Place it on a baking tray covered in foil and dinner is served!

Baked Italian Subs

My family and I know all too well about the ease of making your own sandwiches when you’re at an outside gathering! Buy different meats, some pickled peppers, onions and whatever toppings you’d like and have everyone make their own subs! If you want to go all out, you can make these Italian subs in bulk and foil them up over the campfire YUM

Ham and Cheese Sliders

Sliders are my ultimate go-to for picnics and potlucks! Super easy, always delicious and great for sharing. These are great for a quick lunch before continuing with other fun activities!

Pizza Quesadilla

Quesadillas are great if you have little kiddos! A warm tortilla filled with cheesy goodness is where it’s at! Add pepperoni or whatever toppings you like on your pizza and you’ve got a delicious meal!

Baked Fries

Okay, fried fries will always have my heart but potatoes are potatoes, am I right!? These baked steak fries are easy and delicious to enjoy while sitting beside the campfire. Pro tip: If you love truffle fries, a little truffle oil in these would be perfection!

Breakfast Burritos

Breakfast burritos are always something that I bring when we go for a whole day in nature! I recently did a huge batch of these the last time I was out with my family catching the 5 am ferry. These are the perfect breakfast that you can easily heat up before you eat them! You can microwave them all and wrap them in individual foil to enjoy within 2 hours OR you can heat them at your campfire over the fire in foil!

Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Just like the ham and cheese sliders, if you have a family that loves spicy foods as mine does, these buffalo chicken sliders are for you! Just like a chicken salad, these sliders are filled with a yummy chicken mixture, white cheese and toasted to perfection.

Tuna Salad

Can you ever go wrong with a simple tuna salad? I love making a nice batch of tuna salad for me to have during the week or why not do the same for camping?! You can make this at home and keep it at the bottom of your cold cooler to enjoy for up to 2 days. Best on toasted bread but chips would great too!

Grilled Cheese

Grilled cheese has got to be hands down the easiest and best comfort food! Definitely not a healthy option but butter, cheese and bread? 1000% always needed to live a happy life!

Continue reading 20+ Ultimate Camping Friendly Recipes…

Hot Dogs

Of course, just like sandwiches, hot dogs are a fantastic option especially if you love to cook on a campfire. Place all your buns on a tray over the fire to toast while everyone roasts their own hot dogs. Super easy and ready within minute after a long day of fun!

Sloppy Joes

Another one of my fav simple and lazy meals! Sloppy joes are awesome as you can do everything in one pot. I prefer my buns not toasted for sloppy joes so it’s simple to bring camping! Add a side salad or chips on the side and you’re done!

Creamy Chicken Pasta

I’ve never met a person who does not love pasta, especially creamy chicken pasta! If you want an easy one-pot type of dinner, this is excellent to make! Customize it of course to your liking but super simple to pack which is key here! Less mess less stress.

Tomato Ricotta Pasta

Same as the creamy chicken pasta above, if you’re looking to skip the chicken and want a rich tomato sauce-based pasta then look no further! One-pot tomato pasta that’s ready in less than 20 minutes to the ultimate camping-friendly meal!

Baked Potatoes

Baked potatoes are excellent if you love potatoes and the ability to customize and put in your own toppings! You can add bacon crumbles, cheese, sour cream, butter, green onions and so much more! Wash russet potatoes well and poke the potato all over with a fork. Wrap each potato in foil and let bake over the fire. Once they are ready, carefully open them up, fluff the cooked potato and fill with your face topping!

White Chicken Enchiladas

Enchiladas are awesome to feed a group! They are really filling and can be done easily in one baking pan! These white chicken enchiladas are great if you love creamy white sauce and lots and lots of cheese!

Continue reading 20+ Ultimate Camping Friendly Recipes…

Ground Beef Enchiladas

Ground beef enchiladas are also perfect if you want to enjoy a more authentic Mexican recipe! Enchilada sauce is traditionally red and filled with different kinds of red peppers!

Philly Cheese Steak Foil Packet

As you noticed throughout this whole post, foil packets are of course the way to go! Although not eco-friendly, very handy when camping! I love Philly cheesesteaks and just looking at this makes my mouth water! This is 100% already on my list of meals I’m prepping for my family’s annual camping trip!

Santa Fe Chicken Foil Packet

If beef isn’t your thing like the Philly cheesesteak foil packs then these Santa Fe chicken foil packets might be more your style! Filled with beautiful ingredients, this would be a really yummy meal to enjoy while camping!

Continue reading 20+ Ultimate Camping Friendly Recipes…

Shrimp Foil Packet

Love seafood boils?! Enjoy a seafood boil while you’re camping! Shrimp cooks super fast so this is an easy peasy recipe! Make sure to bring butter and cajun seasoning because without it, your seafood boil won’t be the same!

Campfire Queso

Do you remember this going viral the past few years?! Smoked queso is the best appetizer and snack to enjoy with a few ice-cold drinks! Love how easy it is to assemble and enjoy!

Continue reading 20+ Ultimate Camping Friendly Recipes…

Cheesy Sausage & Potatoes

Last but not least for the savoury recipes, cheesy sausage and potatoes! I already make these at home myself because they are so simple so I 100% know this would be super easy to make during camping! I am hungry just looking at how easy this is.

Campfire S’mores Dip

Last but not least, s’mores dip! Okay so s’mores are a camping must-do for sure but if you don’t want to individually roast marshmallows or are having a lazy night, just put everything into one container!

Continue reading 20+ Ultimate Camping Friendly Recipes…

Oat Apple Crisp

Last but not least, my fav oat apple crisp! I absolutely love this delicious warm dessert on a cool summer night. Where I go camping, there are lots of farmer’s markets and fruit picking places so you bet I’m picking fresh apples for this in a few months!

I hope you get inspired to create your camping meals with this 20+ Ultimate Camping Friendly Recipes post! I’m trying to figure out what to buy as well so I can prepare and be less stressed when I’m packing! 2 more months until my first camping trip and I cannot wait!
