HERE IS HOW TO MAKE HALLOWEEN FINGER HOT DOGS:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

I would definitely say that this fun Halloween treat is super fun and easy to make! I want to say everywhere around the world has hot dogs and hot dog buns so it should be easy to find at your local grocery store! I love using the jumbo hot dogs and soft brioche buns for my hot dogs!

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients to make Halloween Finger Hot Dogs at your local grocery store. Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Hot Dogs: Any brand or type you prefer.
  2. Hot Dog Buns: Standard or mini buns work well.
  3. Ketchup: For the “blood” effect.
  4. Yellow Mustard, Mayonnaise or any other condiments to add on the side! (Optional)

These ingredients are commonly found in the refrigerated and condiment sections of most grocery stores. For a fun twist, consider checking specialty or gourmet food stores for unique hot dog varieties and artisan buns.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

The only equipment you’ll actually need is a small knife so you can cut little lines and the nail bed of each hot dog! Aside from that, I like to just boil up my hot dogs but of course, you can air fry, pan fry, or grill them the way you usually like it!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

Since this recipe is super easy, there really isn’t much to substitute or add to this! I use the regular pork jumbo hot dogs but of course, you the hot dogs that you’d like based on your diet! You can use chicken, beef, plant based hot dogs etc!

For the hot dog buns, I like using brioche buns but you can also use sesame or regular white bread hot dog buns! I didn’t add a nail to the hot dog finger but I’ve seen people do this and add almond slices which look neat! I liked that it looks like the bed was ripped off the nail bed haha extra spooky!

WHAT DOES HALLOWEEN FINGER HOT DOGS TASTE LIKE?

Halloween Finger Hot Dogs taste like classic hot dogs but with a spooky twist. The main flavor comes from the hot dog itself, which is savory and slightly salty. The bun adds a soft, slightly sweet contrast, while the ketchup provides a tangy, slightly acidic note reminiscent of traditional condiments. If you add almond slices for the “fingernails,” they introduce a mild crunch and a hint of nuttiness or sharpness, depending on which you use. Overall, it’s a familiar and comforting taste with a fun and eerie presentation.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Halloween Finger Hot Dogs can last for up to 3 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For best taste and texture, enjoy them fresh or within the first day. Luckily since this is super easy to make, you’ll be able to make it right before dinner with no issues! Other plus is that if you hate cleaning the kitchen after making a meal, I’m confident to say that this dinner/treat is an easy clean up!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

I was searching for some recipes that I wanted to recreate and saw these on Pinterest! I thought they were so cool and my brain started beaming with creativity and all the possibilities! This year, I thought that I wanted to really try and make things as easy as possible. I understand that people are so busy so it’s nice to be able to celebrate some fun events and holidays without feeling even more overwhelmed!

Yes! As you are doing some knife work with this, please be careful! Take your time, don’t rush and remember that it does not need to be perfect! The beauty about Halloween recipes is that a lot of gory details need to look messy to achieve the vibe!

Halloween Finger Hot Dogs

Halloween Finger Hot Dogs are perfect, fun and savory treats resembling severed fingers, sure to be a hit at any Halloween party!

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Hot Dogs
  • 6 Hot Dog Buns
  • Ketchup for the blood effect
  • Any other hot dog condiments you'd like <3 Optional

Instructions
 

  • Open your hot dog package and grab a small knife. On each hot dog, you'll need to make a small square near the top of the hot dog and remove the skin.
  • Next, you'll need to make 2-4 little slits in two sections of the hot dog to resemble where the finger joints are. Hot top: Just look at your own finger and imitate that haha! That's what I did.
  • Cook up your hot dogs, whatever way you like, I enjoy boiling them as it's the easier way for me!
  • Once your hot dog is cooked, place one in each bun and add ketchup messily as the blood effect.
  • Serve and enjoy!

This Asian Sesame Vermicelli Salad is light, refreshing, and packed with flavor! Tender vermicelli noodles are tossed with crisp veggies and a savory sesame dressing for an easy, vibrant dish that’s perfect for lunches, meal prep, or summer gatherings.

INGREDIENTS
* 3 Bundles Vermicelli about 150g uncooked
* 1 Cup Purple Cabbage thinly shredded 
* 1 Cup Red Peppers thinly shredded 
* 1 Cup Carrots thinly shredded 
* 1/2 Cup Edamame
* 2 Stalks Green Onion thinly sliced 

Sauce
* 1 Clove Garlic grated
* 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
* 1 tsp Sesame Oil
* 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
* 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
* 1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS
* Cook the vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
* In a large bowl, combine the cooked vermicelli, cabbage, red bell pepper, carrot, edamame, and green onions.
* In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, sesame oil, sesame seeds, soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar until well combined.
* Pour the sauce over the salad and toss until evenly coated.
* Chill in the fridge before serving for extra flavor for minimally 12 hours! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
* 2 1/4 Cups Flour
* 1/2 tsp Salt
* 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
* 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
* 3/4 Cup Oil 
* 1 Cup White Sugar

* Fold in the poppy seeds.
* Divide the batter evenly between the 12 muffin cups and sprinkle slivered almonds on top.

* Next, add in the rice mixture to your baking pan in an even layer. Sprinkle furikake on top.
* Use the same bowl that you mixed up your rice in and add in your drained canned tuna, sesame oil, sriracha, and mayo and mix well.
* Add the layer of saucy tuna on your rice layer evenly on top. Sprinkle with furikake.
* Bake at 400F for 20-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
* Serve with a side of seasoned seaweed and enjoy!
