HERE IS HOW TO MAKE VALENTINE’S DAY CAKE MIX COOKIES:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

You can find the ingredients for Valentine’s Day Cake Mix Cookies at various locations:

  1. Grocery Stores: Look for cake mix, butter or oil, eggs, and Valentine’s day sprinkles in the baking aisle.
  2. Supermarkets: Larger supermarkets typically have a wide selection of cake mix flavors and baking essentials.
  3. Convenience Stores: Basic cake mix and cookie ingredients may also be available in smaller convenience stores.
  4. Online Retailers: For specific cake mix flavors or unique additions to your cookies, online platforms offer convenience and variety.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make these cake mix cookies are:

  • Vanilla Cake Mix
  • Eggs
  • Oil – (of your choice)
  • Valentine’s Sprinkles

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

Thankfully, these cookies are super easy so you don’t need a lot to do this! You’ll need mostly baking essentials which you hopefully have at home and if not, you can just pick up some from your local department stores or the dollar store. You’ll need a baking tray, large bowl, and spatula which are non-negotiables then a few others that aren’t necessary but great to have! I love using a cookie scoop so that all my cookies are evenly sized and I always use parchment paper. Of course, you can just scoop the cookies with a spoon roll them out with your hands, and grease your baking tray well instead of using parchment!

Here are a few of my Amazon favs that I recommend and use for baking!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

Cake mix cookies are one of my fav recipes to make because it is so dang easy! I make so many different variations of cake mix cookies and will be making them forever! You can totally free to add in the toppings you’d like! Here are some other variations of cake mix cookies that I have on the blog:

  • Spooktacularly Easy Halloween Cake Mix Cookies
  • Lemon Cake Mix Cookies
  • Easter Mini Egg Cookies
  • Easy Ube Crinkle Cookies
  • Easy Chocolatey Candy Cane Cookies

WHAT DO VALENTINE’S DAY CAKE MIX COOKIES TASTE LIKE?

Valentine’s Day Cake Mix Cookies offer a delightful blend of flavors:

  1. Sweetness from Cake Mix: The cake mix serves as the base, providing a sweet and tender foundation for the cookies.
  2. Buttery Richness: Butter or oil in the recipe contributes a rich and buttery flavor, enhancing the overall taste and mouthfeel.
  3. Flavor of Add-ins: Depending on the recipe, add-ins like chocolate chips, sprinkles, or extracts can introduce additional layers of flavor, such as chocolatey richness or hints of vanilla.
  4. Soft and Chewy Texture: The texture is typically soft and chewy, making each bite a comforting and indulgent experience.

HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?

Valentine’s Day Cake Mix Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer freshness, consider refrigerating or freezing the cookies. They are super easy to make and will go quickly so who knows if you even have any to store haha!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

Like I mentioned above, I really love cake mix cookies. I feel like when you’re on social media, you get overwhelmed by this need to buy a bunch of things to celebrate every holiday or throw extravagant gatherings but in my opinion, it’s extra special to throw together what you can and celebrate anyways!

I normally just reuse all my holiday things every year and maybe just pick up a new decor or two if it’s on sale! These cake mix cookies are always a hit and have the perfect touch of homemade to them!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

So, I put some sprinkles into the mix and added a little bit on top just so there are sprinkles throughout each cookie, and presentation-wise, it’s super cute to see all the little Valentine’s day heart sprinkles and colors displayed! Totally up to you on your preference but I highly recommend doing them this way!

Also note, these cookies also spread so if you want them to not spread into each other, I recommend spacing them out minimally 2 inches apart but the more the better!
