WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?

The ingredients to make these Hot Honey Salmon Bowls are:

Salmon Marinade:

  • Salmon Fillets (or salmon bites)
  • Buffalo Sauce
  • Honey
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Rice Bowl Assembly:

  • White Rice
  • Edamame Beans

  • Extra Honey And Buffalo Sauce (Optional)

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

This hot honey salmon is super easy to make and requires very little equipment! I like to make mine in the air fryer however if you don’t have an air fryer, you can just cook this in the oven or on your stovetop in a shallow frying pan! Aside from this, knives, cutting boards, bowls, and utensils would be all you need and you can just use whatever you already have at home!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?

Of course, you can substitute or add what you’d like! I used buffalo sauce for this recipe but sriracha is also a delicious hot sauce you can use instead! If honey isn’t available or you don’t love honey, maple syrup would also be a great sub!

As for the rice bowls, I added, cucumber, mango, red onions, edamame, and shredded carrots but you can add in or take out what you’d like to customize it and make it your own! Red cabbage, pineapples, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, broccoli, and green onions are all good examples of what you can add!

  1. Salmon: If cooked, refrigerate leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 1-2 days. Reheat gently to maintain its texture.
  2. Fresh Produce: Store fresh produce separately in the refrigerator, preferably in a sealed bag or container, and use it within a few days to retain freshness.
  3. Rice or Grains: Cooked rice or grains can be refrigerated in a sealed container for 3-4 days. Reheat before serving.

For the best taste and quality, it’s advisable to assemble the bowls just before serving. Avoid combining all the ingredients if you plan to store them as leftovers, as the textures may change and the flavors may blend, altering the intended taste profile.

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?

Salmon is such a great lighter protein to enjoy for meals. I often need a break from meat like chicken and beef so I love incorporating salmon into my meal rotations when I can!

I’m a huge fan of different textures and flavour profiles and sweet and spicy is a fav of mine so I knew I wanted to make delicious salmon this way!

ANY OTHER NOTES?

When you add in your salmon fillets. make sure that every single piece is coated with the marinade. Leave in the fridge for minimally 25 minutes to soak in the marinade, if you have the time, 1 hour would be great!

Hot Honey Crispy Salmon Bowls: Crispy salmon glazed in hot buffalo sauce and honey, paired with fresh ingredients and rice, offering a tantalizing blend of sweet and spicy flavors.

Ingredients
  

Salmon Marinade

  • 3 Salmon Fillets or can be cut up to bite sized pieces
  • 1/4 Cup Buffalo Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Rice Bowl Assembly

  • 1/2 Cup White Rice
  • Cucumber diced, as much as you want
  • Mango diced, as much as you want
  • Edamame as much as you want
  • Carrots shredded, as much as you want
  • Avocado half or as much as you want
  • Red Onions diced, as much as you want
  • Sesame seeds as much as you want
  • Honey & Buffalo Sauce drizzle on top, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine your buffalo sauce, honey, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix together to thoroughly combine.
  • Add in your salmon fillets and make sure that every single piece is coated with the marinade. Leave in the fridge for minimally 25 minutes to soak in the marinade, if you have the time, 1 hour would be great!
  • After the salmon has been marinating, you can preheat your air fryer to 400F..
  • Once your air fryer is done preheating, add in the salmon pieces and cook at 400F for about 15-20 minutes or until the top of charred and crispy.
  • While the salmon is cooking, start assembling your bowl by adding a layer of white rice at the bottom and then your fresh produce on top.
  • Place your salmon in your bowl, drizzle extra buffalo and honey sauce then enjoy!

This Asian Sesame Vermicelli Salad is light, refreshing, and packed with flavor! Tender vermicelli noodles are tossed with crisp veggies and a savory sesame dressing for an easy, vibrant dish that’s perfect for lunches, meal prep, or summer gatherings.

INGREDIENTS
* 3 Bundles Vermicelli about 150g uncooked
* 1 Cup Purple Cabbage thinly shredded 
* 1 Cup Red Peppers thinly shredded 
* 1 Cup Carrots thinly shredded 
* 1/2 Cup Edamame
* 2 Stalks Green Onion thinly sliced 

Sauce
* 1 Clove Garlic grated
* 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
* 1 tsp Sesame Oil
* 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
* 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
* 1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS
* Cook the vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
* In a large bowl, combine the cooked vermicelli, cabbage, red bell pepper, carrot, edamame, and green onions.
* In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, sesame oil, sesame seeds, soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar until well combined.
* Pour the sauce over the salad and toss until evenly coated.
* Chill in the fridge before serving for extra flavor for minimally 12 hours! Enjoy!

* 1/2 tsp Salt
* 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
* 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
* 3/4 Cup Oil 
* 1 Cup White Sugar

* In a bowl, add in your rice and heat it in the microwave for 1 minute. This is so it’s easier for the sugar and rice vinegar to soak in. Add in your rice vinegar and sugar and mix well.
* Next, add in the rice mixture to your baking pan in an even layer. Sprinkle furikake on top.
* Use the same bowl that you mixed up your rice in and add in your drained canned tuna, sesame oil, sriracha, and mayo and mix well.
* Add the layer of saucy tuna on your rice layer evenly on top. Sprinkle with furikake.
* Bake at 400F for 20-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
* Serve with a side of seasoned seaweed and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
* 1/2 Cup White Sugar
* 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
* 1 Mashed Ripe Banana
* 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
* 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
* 1 Cup Water
